Private and One to One Bookings

Private bookings

Available for groups of 2-8 horse and rider combinations across almost all routes. This is ideal for groups of friends with horses who are used to riding out together or even as a yard outing. Groups of 4+ can be accommodated on weekdays or weekends with weekday availability for smaller groups.

One to One Bookings

Ideal for riders who are building the partnership with their horse or working on gaining confidence out hacking. This is also perfect for giving a young horse a great start to their hacking career, accompanied by an experienced chaperone. These rides are all about you so are equally suitable if you’d just like the option to go at your own pace. One to one rides are usually exclusively available on weekdays, but weekend evening dates may be available for certain routes during the summer months.

Match Up Service

If you don't have access to others to ride with, it can be tricky to make the next step up from a 1:1 before diving into a group ride. The match up service is designed to find you a buddy (or buddies) who are at a similar point with their horse, or who have similar desires in terms of choice of route and speed of ride, to share a private booking with. Certain routes are more expensive to book on your own, so sharing is also a good option in terms of economy. Under 18s

Riders under 18 years of age are welcome on all our group, private or 1:1 rides. We understand that it’s not always possible for a riding adult to join them, so it is possible for competent under 18s to join rides unaccompanied, subject to an initial assessment visit. This can be on a group ride, whilst accompanied by a riding adult, in a Novice or Nervous/Novice group ride accompanied by an adult on foot, or in a private setting with the accompanying adult on foot or on a bike. Private assessment rides would ordinarily be carried out at Black Rocks/Carsington, in order to keep costs down. Usual stipulations relating to group sizes at a weekend are waived for this purpose.
