Terms and Conditions

The boring bit…..Terms and conditions of booking:

  • All horses and riders must be covered by their own Public Liability Insurance.

  • Riders aged under 18 are welcome on group rides but must be accompanied by an adult who is also riding a horse.

  • Under 18s can be accommodated in a private booking, accompanied by an adult on foot/bicycle/horse.

  • All riders must wear correctly fitted and up to standard riding hats at all times whilst mounted.

Cancellation Policy - Group Rides:

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice will be eligible for either a credit note to book onto another ride, a deferment to an alternative event or a full refund in the first instance.

  • In the event that further changes are requested within the cancellation window to a booking which has already been rescheduled, a deferment to another date may be made or a credit note will be generated to use on another ride. Should a refund be requested at this point an admin fee of £10 per booking may be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Bookings which are subject to a parking surcharge will have his portion refunded, if cancellation is made within the cancellation window.

  • Places may be transferred between riders up to the time of the ride, but please notify the organiser of the change so that correct details for the replacement rider can be collected for insurance and health and safety purposes.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice however will be charged for in full unless the place can be filled.

  • Where a booking has been cancelled/rescheduled twice consecutively, a third incidence will result in loss of fees.

  • Where a cancellation or postponement is made by the organiser (for instance where there is a concern over safety due to poor weather conditions) the option to join the rescheduled event will be offered where applicable. Where a reschedule is not possible a credit note or a full refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy - Private and One to One Bookings:

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice are eligible to be rescheduled to an alternative date or a credit note for the value of the place/booking will be issued. Should a refund be requested an admin charge of £10 may be deducted from the total refund amount.

  • Bookings which are made subject to a minimum number of riders (i.e. minimum of 4 riders for weekend bookings) will not be eligible for refunds/credit notes where cancellations by individuals would reduce the group size below the stipulated minimum numbers. Places may be transferred but it is the responsibility of the cancelee to source a replacement rider and notify the organiser to transfer the place.

  • Where cancellations by individuals within a private group would reduce numbers to a point where the cost per person is increased for those remaining, a credit code or refund will be due to the cancelee for the difference in the total cost due for the new group size.

Cancellation Policy - Camping and Package Holidays

  • Places are only reserved once payment for camping pitch or other accommodation option has been paid for.

  • Accommodation cancellation is as per the provider’s usual policy, please check your confirmation for details or with the provider directly.

  • Payment for the rides portion of the package is due one month prior to the holiday. At this point rides are no longer refundable or transferable, unless the place can be filled.

Cancellation Policy and Terms and Conditions - Scoot Boot Fitting Appointments

  • Where an appointment is cancelled with more than 48 hours notice, the call out fee is fully refundable, or the appointment may be rescheduled without penalty.

  • Cancellations up to 24 hours prior to the appointment will be eligible for a 50% refund of the call out fee.

  • Any boots or accessories required after a successful fitting must be paid for at the time of the appointment.

  • Only boots which are unused and in their original packaging are eligible for return and refund.
